Prioritize Quality in CBD Products

If I could speak to my younger self about CBD, I would stress the importance of quality. As the in-house perfumer at Pairfum London, I have seen how oils vary in grade and age, drastically affecting their effectiveness. The same applies to CBD. Do not be tempted by lower prices or fancy claims.

I once tried a cheap CBD oil that turned out to be quite old. It made little difference and left me feeling disappointed. Now, I know to look for purity, transparency and testing certifications.

When it comes to CBD, avoid being penny wise and pound foolish, and invest in an oil that truly supports your well-being.

CBD Is a Tool, Not a Cure

CBD is not a miracle cure. The industry will try to sell it as one, but do not fall for the hype. It will not fix your sleep if your habits are trash. It will not erase anxiety if your life is a mess. It is a tool, not a solution.

I wish someone had told me to focus on why I was looking for relief instead of just chasing quick fixes. CBD can help with stress, inflammation, and recovery, but only if it is part of a bigger picture. Diet, exercise, and mental health habits matter more than any oil or gummy ever will.

The other thing? Quality matters. Most of what is out there is underdosed, mislabeled, or full of garbage fillers. If you are going to use it, do your research. Look for third-party testing, full-spectrum products, and real dosages that match the studies, not marketing buzzwords.

CBD is useful, but it is not magic. Treat it like a supplement, not a shortcut.

Approach CBD with an Open Mind

One piece of advice I would give my younger self about CBD and its potential benefits is to approach it with an open mind and a focus on long-term research. Early on, I was skeptical of the wellness industry's fast-paced growth around CBD, largely due to its controversial legal status and the overwhelming influx of products claiming miracle results. However, if I had understood earlier that CBD's true potential lies in its ability to support mental and physical well-being in a balanced, sustainable way, I would have explored it more thoughtfully. The key is to focus on quality over quantity, ensuring that products are lab-tested, well-sourced, and properly dosed. CBD isn't a quick-fix solution but part of a holistic approach to health. Patience, proper education, and a focus on authenticity would have helped me navigate the evolving landscape with more confidence and clarity earlier in my entrepreneurial journey.
